The Dead Sea Scrolls
In the winter of 1946–47, Muhammed edh-Dhib and his cousin discovered the caves, and soon afterwards the scrolls, not far from the known ruins of Khirbet Qumran. The scrolls have been controversial and will continue to be. The scrolls have now been digitised and translated for anyone to see. A fascinating website to visit!

Many people have seen the Bible in a hotel room. But where did it come from?

The Gideons are aware that many people in Britain have never seen a Bible and may be uncertain what it is. The aim is to give them the opportunity to read it for themselves, perhaps for the first time, and to discover God in a personal way.
